This for the woman who knows that a certain “death" is not only necessary but it is also the first step toward growing into the life that is longing to live through her. She is not afraid of death. She knows it be the beginning moment of a new life.
… Perhaps you are going through a change in relationship status, or you are a new empty-nester, or maybe you are retiring or have gone through some major shift in identity… It doesn’t matter what it is, what matters is that something is dying is something is being born… and this retreat is a container for you to be held as you let go… as you release what has been…. and a portal for you to pass through, guided, into that which is coming for you.
The Love & Let Go Retreat will be held November 9-16, 2023 at the La Sagrada Retreat Center (you can find more information on La Sagrada here) in Guanajuato, Guanajuato, Mexico.

Here is how it will go…
There will be teachings and art (for everyone), meditations and yoga, living room conversations, hikes and time in nature, medicine healers, local connections, music and culture indigenous to these lands. We will “live within the ceremony” of La Sagrada, and experience the purification of the sweat lodge, as well as a “water womb” ceremony. We will sit in circle, and we will share meals. We will learn together, grow together, and rest into the beauty of both life as we know it, and the possibilities that are before us in the upcoming new year.

Mexico has a magical way of taking you into her embrace and slowing you down… She reminds you that life is precious, and connections to the earth and to the heart are the foundation of all that is meaningful in our lives. There is nothing like this land, and this amazing cobble-stone city, high in the hills of central Mexico.
You are invited to La Sagrada… to deepen your understanding of self, and to experience the rich and robust culture of Mexico, its people and its deep-rooted perspectives.

The warm season (April 7 to June 14) has an average daily high temperature above 80°F. The hottest month of the year in Guanajuato is May, with an average high of 83°F and low of 54°F.
The cool season (November 30 to February 6), has an average daily high temperature below 71°F. The coldest month of the year in Guanajuato is January, with an average low of 40°F and high of 69°F.
BJX is directly between the cities of Guanajuato and Leon, providing its patrons with easy access to either city via domestic or international journeys. It’s a mid-sized airport with just one terminal, making travel there relatively simple and hassle-free.

The newest addition to our accommodations at La Sagrada. Modeled after La Abeja, this room is spacious and private, with a hand-hewn stone way, a quiet terrace, tea service area, full bed and daybed.
This is a perfect space for a woman who loves high ceilings, garden views and a “studio” (or for two women who want to experience the retreat together).

La Abeja
La abeja in Spanish means “the honey bee”

This room is located in the 200 year old original casita (little house) on the property, and is the most spacious, private, and secluded of the rooms on the property. With views to the private garden, personal tea service, and your own bath, this is a perfect choice for the woman who wants to tend to her heart and her journey in a unique and lush setting.

La Luna

Las Flores
Las flores in Spanish means "the flowers”

Located on the main floor of the main house, this is the most spacious of rooms and the only room shared by two guests. With a large window to the gardens, this room is private and a perfect location for two friends to share, or the woman who is tending to her budget. Gorgeously appointed, this room has two individual beds and shared hall bathroom.

El Nido
El nido in Spanish means “the nest”

The most interior of all of the rooms, this little “nest” is located on the main floor of the main house, and is perfect for the woman who adores cozy, quaint spaces and wants to be near to a bathroom in the night. This comfortable little room is sweetly appointed, and a good option for the budget-conscious retreat attendee, who wants her own private space to snuggle in between participating on retreat and taking solo time.

This retreat is all-inclusive, with no hidden additional costs to you. The only other expenses you may incur is additional travel or lodging, bodywork, private sessions with Britt, or keepsakes/gifts you would like to purchase.
We are honored to be able to offer this retreat with native Mexicans, who have become my “family” during my extended time in Mexico. These people are simple, kind, deeply devotional, honest people who live gently and humbly. I like to sit near to them and watch how they live and how they speak — as I have come to feel that they “live inside a prayer”…. I trust we will have some unscheduled “deep wisdom sessions” with these beautiful souls as well.
This is not a large, fancy retreat. It is simple, gorgeous, and all ours for the seven days and six nights together. There are 5 well-appointed, very comfortable rooms. This is a beautifully unique opportunity to sign up for Pilgrim and complete your 108 Days with plans to go on a “real pilgrimage” to Mexico to instill in you, even more deeply, the teachings of your 108 day journey.
Mi casa es su casa :: My house is your house. After years of renting retreat centers and boutique hotels in Mexico, we are the humble stewards and owners of La Sagrada, which is not only our retreat center, but also our home. We know this city and the people intimately. You are not entering this place nor this retreat as a “tourist” but as a welcome guest into our home. This provides you with the opportunity to go immediately to the heart of the people — beyond language, culture, and difference.
Finally, the most important aspect of what we are doing here is two fold :: One - it is what we tap into through our time together, the community, the ceremony, and the sacredness of this place and space, and Second to none — it is that a portion of all revenue generated through retreats and events at La Sagrada go directly into our Projects of Impact, where we are doing all we can to support the health and education of young women and children in our local community. Your registration contributes to these projects, and whenever possible, we schedule a day to go to the neighborhoods we are serving and offer our hands and hearts.
UNIQUE FEATURES:
Room rates are individual and all-inclusive. Airport transportation for flights arriving before 9pm and after 7am are included. If your flight arrives after 9pm or departs before 7am, we will gladly assist you in arranging transportation for you by taxi. All retreat transportation, excursions, meals, activities and supplies are included. Massages can be scheduled for an additional fee. If you want to arrive a day or two early to settle in, this option may be available for an additional $150 USD per person per day, and includes airport transportation (as describe above), the room you have reserved for retreat, and breakfast.
Before signing up for a retreat — we want to make sure you are aware of the location and the risks associated with our location. We are located in a safe, “quiet” neighborhood outside of the bustle and busyness of the city center of Guanajuato, GTO. That being said, quiet is a relative term and we cannot control the nighttime activity of street dogs, occasional passing traffic and music. This is Mexico, and the culture is what makes it both endearing and known for its active night life. If you are a light sleeper, we suggest you prepare ahead, and bring earplugs or noise canceling headphones to ensure restful nights. Regarding safety, here is what can say with confidence: Guanajuato City is a “keyhole” city that is both difficult to enter and to exit, making it a less than desirable location for ongoing cartel activity and crime against foreigners. That being said, we alway suggest that you leave any fancy jewelry, diamonds, or overt expressions of affluence at home. Come as you are, ready to immerse yourself in the culture, the teachings, and the deep experience that Britt promises. If you want to learn and grow and expand your horizons… if you long to shed what no longer serves you and learn from the land, the people and this magical place, then by all means, we will have the most amazing experience prepared for you upon your arrival, and we will do everything we can to tend to your needs while you are here….
