This Being Student as sankalpa, or heartfelt intention, will create a container to explore how we might open ourselves completely to whatever we are most hungry to learn.   In the same way water flows and fills a clay pot, yoga flows from teacher to student and is ultimately intended to create "light" and not "heat".  We will explore the student / teacher mantra and delve into the richness of how we learn to recognize what is trustworthy in our lives, and how we can prepare ourselves to gain the most from our practice.

These offerings are held in Studio 508, located at 1017 SW Morrison St, Portland, OR. The classes are mixed level and I encourage students of all fitness levels to attend, as long as one is comfortable caring for oneself and modifying as needed.  These classes are designed to integrate the ancient teachings of yoga into the practice, and although asana is indeed part of the practice, there is much more happening here.
