Upcoming Events:

It is such an honor to be sharing yoga and ayurveda throughout the valley. I am teaching additional classes at ClubSport, as well as preparing to launch a private practice at YogaPearl in September. I am also scheduled to conduct a variety of workshops and classes throughout the Portland area.

Here's a sampler:

Kitchen Table Yoga: An Intro to Ayurvedic Medicine and the Healing Power of Food
August 10 (that's this Tuesday!)
6:30 PM - 8:00 PM
Yoga begins within, and what we eat inevitably affects the form and function of our bodies. Yoga's sister science, Ayurvedic Medicine, teaches us how we can address stress, digestive ailments, headaches, sleep issue and much more, simply and inexpensively. Discover the hidden treasures of ancient medicine in your kitchen cabinets. Common herbs such as basil, cinnamon, ginger, fennel, garlic and turmeric all have scientifically sound healing qualities. Learn how to prepare some basic Ayurvedic healing foods and taste for yourself. Food samples will be provided.

This class integrates the timeless teaching of yoga, both on and off the mat. Synchronized breath (pranayama) while progressing through a variety of asanas (postures) to reveal your mental and physical strength, flexibility and vitality.
