Peaks & Valleys

It's a crisp, Autumn day in Portland...

I'd like to share something that touched me this morning.  There is a story about the "path" we walk, and how it is sometimes on the ridge of a mountain where we can see for miles and miles. While at other times our path dips down into valleys and crevices between rocks where we cannot see but a few feet in front of our own self.

I really like this metaphor because it reminds me that this life we are leading is sometimes smooth and obvious and we totally get where we are going and why... while at other times, it seems that everything around us is foreign and we can't even begin to know what the heck this is all about.

Today, I seek to be patient with myself and to be in this moment... this glorious moment... and to realize with each breath that I am exactly where I am supposed to be, and that all emotions, experiences and exchanges that come my way today are opportunities for me to grow.

May that which has come to me as seed
And that which has come to me as flower
Bears fruit.

Have a great day, Lovelies.....
